Inactivity results on CrateDB Cloud CRFREE plan

Hi All

I hope this is the correct category.

CrateDB will deactivate my “inactive” account. I read the Free Tier info:

it is suspended after 4 days of inactivity

But what does it mean exactly? Are my data still available after such suspension?

Assume I had a MVP app accessing my CrateDB, where no one logged in for 4 days. But a beta user logs in on the 5th.

Does it now mean, that the app will not have any response from the backend? Do I now need to go log in to my console and reactivate?

What’s the procedure.

I searched this forum for “deactivation”, but I could not find any detailed answer. Thank you for helping.

Correct. The cluster will automatically suspend if it is not queried for 4 days and will need to be resumed manually. Please note that this policy may change at any time. Without this mechanism, we would end up with thousands of idle running instances. However, we also offer $200 in free credits, which you can use to prevent automatic suspension and test CrateDB for a new service.
