# Cannot use the type \`date\` for column: date

cannot create the following table:

create table holder (  
id integer primary key,  
“date” date,  
address text,  
quantity bigint  
);

SQLParseException[Cannot use the type `date` for column: date]

CrateDB doesn’t currently support to store `date` types. We recommend to use one of the `timestamp` types instead.
